Interior design isn't about selecting colours, furniture, or finishes first. It begins by understanding people—their routines, preferences, aspirations, and how they experience a home every day.
When Ketul Bhavsar approached us for the interiors of his new 3BHK residence in Vadodara, the objective wasn't simply to create a beautiful home. The goal was to design a space that felt welcoming, functioned effortlessly, and remained timeless for years to come.
From our first discussion to the final handover, every stage was carefully planned and executed with attention to detail.
Understanding the Space Before Designing It
Every successful interior project begins with understanding the space itself.
We conducted detailed site measurements, studied structural elements, natural light, ventilation, plumbing, electrical routes, ceiling heights, window openings, and circulation.
Instead of forcing ideas into the apartment, we allowed its architecture to shape many of our design decisions. The spacious living room with its large balcony glazing became one of the defining features around which the design evolved.
Planning Through Detailed 2D Layouts
Before execution, every room was planned through detailed 2D layouts.
Furniture placement, circulation, storage, kitchen workflow, wardrobe accessibility, viewing angles, and clearances were carefully optimized to make the best use of all 1,300 square feet.
Thorough planning at this stage minimized changes during execution and ensured comfortable everyday living.
Designing Every Wall With Purpose
Every wall was designed to combine functionality with simplicity.
Rather than excessive decoration, we introduced wood textures, subtle grooves, textured finishes, concealed lighting, and integrated storage.
The TV wall became the focal point of the living room with warm wooden panelling and soft LED lighting, while textured bedroom walls added warmth without creating visual clutter. Thoughtfully used negative space helped maintain a calm, balanced aesthetic.
Electrical Planning Before Execution
Beautiful interiors rely on planning that's often invisible.
Before POP work began, every electrical point was finalized—from switchboards and TV points to kitchen appliances, charging stations, bathroom mirrors, wardrobe lighting, floating shelves, and display cabinets.
Completing this planning early eliminated unnecessary modifications later.
Bringing Ideas to Life Through 3D Visualisation
Before construction began, the complete residence was developed in detailed 3D views.
This allowed the client to visualize material combinations, wood finishes, pastel blue cabinetry, lighting, ceiling profiles, wardrobes, and furniture proportions before execution.
Multiple discussions ensured every decision reflected the family's expectations.
Selecting Timeless Materials
Material selection focused on durability rather than short-lived trends.
Warm oak textures, soft grey finishes, pastel blue cabinetry, cane detailing, textured walls, and large vitrified flooring came together to create interiors that feel bright, modern, and welcoming.
The consistent palette gives the home a timeless character.
Executing the Design Step by Step
After design approval, execution followed a systematic process.
Site marking ensured every partition, ceiling profile, furniture location, and electrical point matched the approved drawings before work progressed through POP, false ceilings, electrical and plumbing work, furniture installation, painting, hardware, and lighting.
Each stage was inspected carefully, with quality taking priority over speed.
POP and Ceiling Design
The ceiling design remained clean and minimal, using linear profiles with concealed LED lighting.
These details create a bright, uncluttered atmosphere while adding warmth during the evenings and visually increasing the sense of height.
Crafting Custom Furniture
Every furniture piece was custom designed for this residence.
The floating TV unit, illuminated crockery cabinet, modular kitchen, custom wardrobes, study corner, and storage solutions were all tailored to the family's requirements.
Rounded edges, soft finishes, and minimal hardware create consistency throughout the home.
Small Details That Shape Everyday Living
The handcrafted wooden swing, illuminated bathroom vanity, decorative shelving, concealed lighting, and carefully chosen accessories add warmth without overwhelming the interiors.
These subtle details transform the apartment into a comfortable home designed for everyday life.
Coordinating Every Team on Site
Successful execution depends on close coordination.
Throughout the project, we worked continuously with carpenters, electricians, POP craftsmen, painters, glass installers, hardware suppliers, lighting vendors, and the client.
Regular site visits ensured drawings translated accurately into reality while resolving any site challenges promptly.
Finishing, Styling and Final Inspection
As the project neared completion, every cabinet, paint finish, LED profile, hardware fitting, shelf, drawer, and lighting fixture was carefully inspected.
After final cleaning, styling, and quality checks, the residence was prepared for handover.

This project was never simply about completing an interior—it was about transforming an empty apartment into a home tailored to the family's lifestyle.
From planning layouts and electrical systems to 3D visualisation, material selection, custom furniture, site supervision, and final styling, every step contributed to creating a home that balances warmth, functionality, and modern design.
Today, natural light fills the living spaces, storage integrates seamlessly into the interiors, and every room serves a clear purpose. For us, the greatest achievement isn't just completing a project—it's delivering a home where every detail has been thoughtfully considered and every space is designed around the people who live there.
